One of Dallas' busiest architects has more than doubled the size of its stakeholders.

Merriman Anderson/Architects Inc., which has had a hand in some of downtown's biggest developments, is promoting seven of its associates to principal shareholders. The 30-year-old design company had previously been owned by Jerry and Deby Merriman and Milton Anderson.

The company has promoted to shareholders David Masters, John Carruth, Aimee Sanborn, Philip Siems, Adam Jones, Justin McCarthy and Jennifer Picquet-Reyes.

It's only the second time Merriman Anderson/Architects has increased its ownership cadre. With nearly 90 employees, the firm also has offices in Austin and Charlotte, N.C.
