Hotels, eateries and conference center on the way in Grand Prairie mixed-use project

November 23, 2021

A Grand Prairie mixed-use project is growing with construction of two new hotels, a conference center and eateries.

The 170-acre EpicCentral development is off State Highway 161 at Arkansas Lane.

Dallas’ Merriman Anderson Architects designed the new phase of EpicCentral with two new hotels, the conference and meeting facility and six restaurants.

Concord Hospitality of Raleigh, N.C., will operate both hotels — a Hilton Garden Inn and a Homewood Suites. The new properties are scheduled for completion in 2023.

“The new hotels integrate and complement the design of the existing buildings on the EpicCentral campus and will create a unique area adding on to the overall entertainment development,” Merriman Anderson’s Adam Jones said in a statement. “Visitors of the existing entertainment venues on campus will have the opportunity to stay overnight or walk over for a meal while they are enjoying everything EpicCentral has to offer, making it a one-stop destination.”

The Hilton Garden Inn will have 129 rooms. There are 147 guest rooms in the Homewood Suites hotel.

The conference center includes a 10,000-square-foot ballroom.

The EpicCentral development includes Epic Waters water park, a 120,000-square-foot fitness, arts and entertainment center, plus a variety of other community recreation facilities.
