The 177-key Cambria Hotel Downtown Dallas is now fully open, following its partial debut at the end of last year. Merriman Interior Design spearheaded the renovation of the 22-floor property, which is an adaptive reuse of the 87-year-old Tower Petroleum Building.

The hotel reflects the building's past, with its art deco style and signature zigzag exterior. The property also features locally inspired art and a full-service restaurant and bar, along with 1,500 sq. ft. of multi-function meeting space and a fitness center.

"Texas is one of the fastest growing states in the country, and we're ecstatic to bring the fourth Cambria property to the area,” says Janis Cannon, senior vice president, upscale brands at Choice Hotels. “This hotel offers a prime location in the epicenter of the city and delivers to guests a genuine sense of place with its fantastic adaptive reuse capturing the essence of the historic building. The Kirtland Realty Group and Todd Interests have been excellent teammates and truly have done a tremendous job reviving the landmark site. We are also thrilled to have the expert knowledge of Fillmore Hospitality on board to manage the property."

Choice Hotels collaborated with Dallas-based building owner Kirtland Realty Group on the project. Cambria’s other three Texas locales are in Plano Frisco, at the McAllen Convention Center and the Southlake DFW North.
