300 Pearl tower will open next year.
Developers are offering a closer look at a high-rise project going up in downtown Dallas.
The 300 Pearl tower is under construction as part of the East Quarter development at Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Jackson Street.
The tower will include 200,000 square feet of office space, 25,000 square feet of retail space and 336 luxury apartment units.
The new building will incorporate the century-old Meletio Electric Building on Cesar Chavez. The historic brick building will house a private tenant lounge, fitness center and other amenities for the project.
On the Pearl Street side of the building, a two-level entry lobby faces the downtown skyline.
The 300 Pearl project is a development of Dallas’ Todd Interests and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Merriman Anderson Architects designed the project, and it’s scheduled to open in mid-2021.
The entire East Quarter development includes 30 properties spread over eight city blocks on the eastern edge of downtown.
The historic buildings — mostly constructed in the 1920s and 1930s — have 175,000 square feet of office space and about 20,000 square feet of retail.
