Developers have completed a $5.5 million makeover of a North Dallas hotel.

Woodbine Development remodeled the 11-story Hilton Dallas/Park Cities hotel in the Preston Center district near the Dallas North Tollway and Northwest Highway.

Built in 1999, the 230-room hotel was purchased by a Woodbine investment fund in 2017.

Construction on the project, which added six rooms, began last summer.

"Woodbine acquired this boutique hotel with the long-term in mind, and this renovation underscores that," Dupree Scovell, managing partner and chief investment officer of Woodbine, said in a statement. "These updates enhance the experience our guests have, whether they're visiting for a few hours or a few days."

The renovation includes a complete redo of all public areas and guest rooms.

The restaurant, bar and lobby areas were remodeled. The fitness center was moved from the top level to the second floor of the building.

Merriman Anderson Architects designed the renovations, and Lippe Construction was the general contractor.
