The building design has been driven by the primary user and Baylor's overall program.
The Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center is located at the Northeast corner of Wall Street and State Highway 114 Frontage Road, situated just north of the main campus of Baylor Grapevine. The building design has been driven by the primary user and Baylor's overall program. The primary goal was to create a functional structure while maintaining the exterior aesthetic qualities. This was achieved while adhering to a strict budget and an extremely tight timeline. To expedite construction, a tilt-wall exterior was used to dry the building quickly. The modular plan was employed to economize the patient and staff flow and allow for future expansion. The result is a facility that meets the needs of its occupants and allows for greater productivity. The center features four operating rooms, three endoscopy and minor procedure rooms, stage I and II post-acute care units, and a STAT laboratory.
