Dallas Morning News Headquarters

The Old Dallas Central Library has undergone a historic renovation and now serves as the new headquarters of The Dallas Morning News. It is considered one of the most impressive Mid-Century architecture blocks in the city and the State of Texas, alongside the Statler Hilton. The original Carnegie Library, designed in the French Renaissance style, was opened in 1901. In 1955, it was replaced by this library built on the same site. George Dahl, one of Dallas' most prolific architects, designed the building. The Old Dallas Central Library and the Statler Hilton were built simultaneously and shared a zero-lot line. The building has a total area of 120,000 square feet and features four stories and two sublevels.
