Aerial view of a city with mid-rise historic buildings, a wide main street, cars parked along the road, and a tall radio tower in the distance under a clear blue sky. The scene is bright and sunny, showing a mix of architecture and greenery.

AC Hotel Jefferson

The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

The AC Hotel Jefferson is a 511,721 GSF building in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The building consists of two adjoining structures: the original 12-story hotel was constructed in 1904, and the second is a 13-story annex built in 1928. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

The building has undergone several renovations over the decades. The most recent use was as a senior housing facility with 581 rooms. The building is currently vacant. The proposed scope of work involves converting the building into a hotel and residential development. The residential component will occupy the east half of the building, and the hotel will occupy the west half. There will be 235 apartment units and 225 guestrooms. The ground floor and mezzanine levels will house public functions, including the lobby, lounge, restaurant, and potential retail space, as well as support areas for the hotel and residential units. The first level and elevators will be modified to provide separate access for hotel guests and residents. The mezzanine level's grand ballroom and meeting rooms will be restored to reflect their historic appearance.
