Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Kimpton Hotel and Conference Center will serve as the hospitality anchor for The Meuse, a 22-acre mixed-use destination near Fredericksburg’s historic Main Street. Merriman Anderson Architects’ context-driven design responds to the community’s distinctive scale, architectural character and welcoming spirit while establishing a new luxury destination for visitors and residents alike. The project is designed to complement its surroundings and extend the walkable character of downtown through an integrated collection of hospitality, retail, dining, and gathering spaces.
The 210-room hotel pairs Kimpton’s signature lifestyle hospitality with architecture rooted in the character and natural beauty of the Hill Country. The property will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, café, rooftop lounge, fitness center, and a 10,000-square-foot resort-style pool and outdoor deck. More than 18,500 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space—including meeting rooms, prefunction areas, an event barn and outdoor gathering spaces—will accommodate weddings, community celebrations, corporate retreats and other special events.
Thoughtful planning connects the hotel with The Meuse’s surrounding retail, dining and public spaces, creating a cohesive destination that supports activity throughout the development. Sustainable design strategies include intelligent climate systems, water-efficient fixtures and native, low-water landscaping selected to reduce resource consumption while reinforcing the project’s connection to the regional landscape. Developed by DC Partners in collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts and interior design studio Curioso, the Kimpton Fredericksburg is scheduled to open in 2027.
