The simulator building is one of the first in the United States.
This project involved strategic planning in helping a high-technology client optimize their existing campus assets for future business growth. One of the most critical components of the project was a 63,000 GSF high bay structure designed to accommodate flight simulators for training and demonstration. The entire building was constructed using tilt-wall construction. The project was situated in a unique overlay zoning district, so special consideration was given to the building form and exterior material palettes.
The simulator building is one of the first in the United States and is used for the development, training, and sales segments of L3’s business. The facility is highly complex in design and requires precise dimensions, HVAC, and structural and acoustical tolerances to support the high-precision state-of-the-art simulators.
