A colorful, dynamic commercial building with vibrant yellow, green, and orange accents houses "Mello Mushroom Pizza Bakers," a pizza restaurant. The building features large circular windows, a mushroom-shaped indent, grid-patterned windows, and parking the building with numerous vehicles. The sky is clear and blue, indicating pleasant weather.

Mellow Mushroom

The building’s iconic presence is a fun and clever representation of the brand and a whimsical billboard to the highway beyond.

This two-story, 10,000-square-foot pizza restaurant epitomizes excellent food, nostalgic reflection, and fun. The architecture takes on a lake-side boat house theme, while giant corporate graphics and characters bring to life its edges and the Mellow Mushroom story. The building sits near the edge of Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall, Texas, and the second-floor open terrace captures sunset views, while the lighthouse feature becomes a beacon to both the highway and the lake. Local guidelines helped articulate the building edges, materials, and landscape. The interior continues the theme, with mushrooms, mermaids, and music featured around the booths, bathrooms, and bars.

The building’s iconic presence is a fun and clever representation of the brand and a whimsical billboard to the highway beyond.
