The Peterbilt Test Building is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) that was designed to provide additional space for the company, allowing for increased productivity, efficiency of production and modernization of equipment. The design-build project took 10 months from design commencement to project closeout. The existing Plant 1 housed existing processes that were not in line with the daily activities process. This project followed the Plant 1 expansion by MAA and built on the company's desires for increased productivity and efficiency in delivering products to their clients. The Test Building includes office space, a mezzanine, a restroom, break areas, paint booths, testing and balancing equipment, vehicle fluids storage, and other process equipment pits.
