Night view of a two-story Robb and Stucky furniture store illuminated by outdoor lights. The building features a dark brick façade with large glass windows displaying interior décor. An American flag is on a pole in front of the store, and the parking lot is empty. Trees line the sidewalk.
A mixed current and classic style storefront of Robb and Stucky at dusk is brightly lit, showcasing large windows and glass doors. Surrounded by a well-kept pedestrian area with a street corner and illuminated lamppost. A stop sign stands at the crossroads near the store entrance.

Robb & Stucky

The main objective was to create a building that blends well with the surrounding context and street edge.

The Robb & Stucky store is in Southlake Town Square, an urban village. It spans across two levels and covers an entire block in the development, spanning over 40,000 square feet. The main objective was to create a building that blends well with the surrounding context and street edge. This was achieved by designing a prominent storefront and a glass and brick front door element. The large faces of the building were then further divided into smaller components to create a sense of rhythm and scale. By paying special attention to the overall massing and materiality, the otherwise large store can blend in with the smaller buildings in the surrounding area.
