Located in East Austin, Ryder Ridge is a 224-unit affordable multi-family community that combines contemporary residential design with the warmth and character of the Texas landscape. Merriman Anderson Architects provided architecture and interior design services for the development, creating an inviting community centered on comfort, connection, and an active lifestyle.

The three-story residential buildings feature varied rooflines, private balconies and patios, and a layered material palette of light masonry, stone, wood-toned accents, and contrasting metal elements. The architectural composition gives the expansive community a welcoming residential scale while establishing a cohesive identity inspired by its natural surroundings.

Inside, warm wood tones, natural textures, tailored furnishings, and modern fixtures create a refined interpretation of rustic Texas style. The residences include open living areas, quartz countertops, kitchen islands, stainless-steel appliances, luxury vinyl plank flooring, walk-in closets, and in-home laundry.

A comprehensive collection of community amenities supports wellness, productivity, recreation, and resident engagement. These spaces include a swimming pool and pool deck, fitness center, yoga studio, coworking and conference areas, community and activity rooms, coffee bar lounge, children’s playroom, playground, dog park, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit. Through an integrated architectural and interior design approach, Ryder Ridge demonstrates how thoughtfully designed affordable housing can deliver quality, character, and a strong sense of community.
