Weatherford International | Training Facility

The new facility is expected to be a benchmark for the numerous Weatherford International Training Centers worldwide, capable of accommodating the industry's evolving demands.

Weatherford International has recently established a new facility in the Middle East region, covering an area of 120,000 square feet. The facility is primarily dedicated to training and research operations and is located in an industrial park a few blocks from the Persian Gulf.

The campus comprises five buildings, with the training center being a three-story building. It includes a testing laboratory, tech laboratory, and simulator room. The facility is designed to be versatile and has 14 teaching/training rooms, with the largest room on a tiered floor having a capacity of 100 persons. The center also features a large high-bay shop for hands-on training and testing.

One of the most prominent features of the training center is a fully functioning oil drilling platform. The building facade is made of precast concrete panels and pre-finished aluminum cladding. The vertical metal louvers serve as a sun-shading device. Each floor has both covered and open decks to leverage the desert sun and provide protection from it.

The new facility is expected to set the benchmark for the numerous Weatherford Training Centers worldwide, with the capability of adapting to the industry's evolving demands.
