Grandscape, the 433-acre retail and entertainment development featuring a Nebraska Furniture Mart, 26 restaurants, a brewery, an indoor go-karting venue, movie theaters and a Ferris wheel, is an international award winner.

The development, still under construction in The Colony, took top honors at the Global RLI Awards last month in London, besting four other properties, all located in Asia.

“With so many outstanding projects in the world, it’s truly a great honor for the entire Grandscape team to be recognized as the Most Innovative Retail and Entertainment Project,” Jeff Lind, president of Grandscape, said in a news release. “While we are excited about what we have built, we are even more excited about what is to come with the future phases of this project. Grandscape is a one-of-a-kind destination, and we are just getting started.”

When fully built, Grandscape will boast three million square feet of retail, entertainment, dining, residential, office and attractions.

Construction is under way on the 95-acre lifestyle centre portion of the project, according to the release. Phase 1 opened in March 2020 with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Galaxy Theatres and the self-purported world’s largest all sports store SCHEELS.

Grandscape was honored in the category of Most Innovative Retail and Entertainment Project, voted a notch above Novotown in Zhuhai, China; ParadropVR City Flyer in Bangkok; and Zijing Paradise Walk in Hangzhou, China.

According to the release, the category “rewards those projects that have created an extraordinary experience for customers and tenants alike.”
