Merriman Anderson/Architects (MAA) celebrates the completion of the expansion of L3 Technologies’ Arlington training center that provides simulation and instruction for military and commercial pilots. MAA was the architect and interior designer for the project.
“The L3 Arlington Training Center provides state-of-the-art facilities and training for pilots,” says Merriman Anderson/Architects’ Project Architect, Jarod Fancher, AIA, LEED AP. “We are happy to see the center expanding and are proud to be involved with this project.”
The training center has added approximately 42,000 square-feet, more than doubling the size of the existing high bay facility. The expansion includes space for six additional full-flight simulators, a demonstration room, and classrooms incorporating augmented and virtual reality. The design of the expansion replicated the existing design, which MAA developed in 2014.
L3 Technologies is an innovator and leading provider of global ISR, communications and electronic systems for military, homeland security and commercial aviation customers.
The MAA stamp can be seen on a wide range of project types throughout the United States and internationally. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with additional offices in Austin, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina, the firm offers customized project solutions to a varied portfolio of clients.
